Hollywood star Dalis Curry was found dead in her Los Angeles home after being extinguished by wildfires spreading across the county.

The 95-year-old retired actress’ remains were found in her home in Altadena, northeast of Los Angeles, on Sunday (January 12) at 6 p.m. Her family had previously reported her missing when she was not present at the evacuation point.

Dalles is best known for his appearances in The Blues Brothers (1980), The 10 Commandments (1956) and Lady Sings the Blues (1972).

Her granddaughter, Dalis Kelly, told ABC News that the last time she saw the actress was on Tuesday (Jan. 7), the day the Eaton Fire broke out.

Kelly confirmed that her grandmother’s body had been revealed in a heartbreaking Facebook post on Sunday evening. “It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that our search for Momma D is over, as her remains have been found in her home,” she shared.

“We are devastated, and it is difficult to understand how her life came to this end…

“She radiated positivity, showed grace, and lived a shining example of strength, resilience, and kindness. Her story is one of breaking barriers, overcoming challenges, and spreading love wherever she went.”

“I miss her terribly and am working through the waves of regret – I wish I had called her more, shared more moments. But I know the best way to honor her is to keep her memory alive and cherish the beautiful moments we shared.”

Just hours ago, Kelly shared horrific footage of her grandmother’s destroyed possessions after fires destroyed her home.

In a video, Kelly pulled out a charred bicycle, a refrigerator and a door and also showed the burned-out Cadillac from The Dalles, reports said. Mail Online.

Kelly explained that the last time she saw her grandmother was when she dropped her off at her home in Altadena on Tuesday around midnight.

Despite seeing fire in the mountains in the distance, Kelly left in the evening as she had to care for her brother who had cancer and did not sense any imminent danger.

The next day, Kelly woke up to a text message saying there was a power outage at her grandmother’s house and rushed to check on her.

An officer informed her that the property had burned to the ground and advised her to check the Pasadena Civic Center, where residents were sent.

There was no sign of Dalis and she spent the next five days hoping officers would find her.

Following the tragic update, those who knew and loved Dalis paid tribute to her on social media.

One Facebook user wrote: “So sad to hear about the fate of a great life, lost in this devastating fire. My prayers for each and every one of you. May God rest your soul, Mrs. Mama Dee.”

Another said: “Sending love. I’m going to miss that conversation on the phone, I’m really going to miss it.”

A third wrote: “Praying for you all.”
