Barcelona’s expected lineup against Real Madrid: Spanish Super Cup final

Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet in the Spanish Super Cup final for the third year in a row, in the first Clásico of 2025.

Both teams reached the final after two comfortable wins in the semi-finals. Barcelona handled things against Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid did the same against Mallorca.

Barcelona beat Los Blancos 4–0 at the Santiago Bernabéu in their first meeting of the season, moving six points clear at the top of La Liga at the time. However, things have changed since then, with the Blaugrana struggling domestically and Real Madrid slowly regaining their form. Now, Carlo Ancelotti’s side is four points ahead of Barcelona in the league.

Hansi Flick has a chance to win his first title as Barcelona coach, and will field his strongest squad in search of revenge after Real Madrid demolished Barcelona 4-1 in last year’s final. Positive news regarding Dani Olmo’s registration issue will give a boost to the Blaugrana, with the first trophy of the Spanish football season within reach of the Catalans.
