Alira will perform at the Philippine Independence Day Concert in Dubai
Emirates news report: Emirati hitmaker Alira returns to the stage on June 26 to celebrate Philippine Independence Day in Dubai where he is set to impress Filipino fans with his nuances of Original Filipino Music (OPM).
Organizers “UAE Loves the Philippines” and the Philippine Business Council in Dubai and Northern Emirates said Alira’s performance “will showcase the unique relationship between the Philippines and the UAE.” This is the first time that an Emirati artist participates in a celebration of Philippine Independence Day in Dubai.
Organizers said this year’s celebration will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center and will include a full day of activities and performances, including a dance festival and fashion show, starting at 10am. Alera’s show will start at 5 p.m. The event will also include a performance by Filipino actor Carlo Aquino.
Alira captured the hearts of Filipinos and multinational fans when he debuted in December with his rousing performance of Filipino songs at a concert in Dubai with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Filipino pop stars Ying Constantino and KZ Tandigan.

At the Middle East Film and Comic Book Expo held in Abu Dhabi earlier this year, Alera sang a variety of popular anime songs in Japanese, English and Arabic, delighting many fans.
He also wowed the audience at Expo 2020 Dubai where he released his original song, “We Are One,” choosing nearly 100 backup artists of different nationalities to share the stage with him. According to Expo 2020 organizers, the show was one of the most watched performances by a local artist at the iconic event.
In May, Alera set a new world record in India with the largest orchestra of nearly 500 people in a 7-minute musical production of “We Are One”, a more elaborate reprise of his performance at Expo 2020 Dubai.
