A man was accused of death after facing the roof with the police in northern New South Wales

The man who claimed to stab his friend was accused before climbing the ceiling in a tense confrontation with the police.
Emergency services were called to a house in Tamworth, in northern New South Wales, around 4:30 pm on Saturday, when they found a 47 -year -old man with critical head injuries and a 55 -year -old man claiming to be armed with a knife.
Police said that the older man closed himself in a bedroom before climbing on the surface of the two -storey unit bloc.

The tactical officers and teams were negotiating with the armed man to decline before falling from the surface.


Social media footage showed the man behaving wrongly, running from side to side and throwing tiles on the floor while the officers tried to put a ladder against a phase so that they could reach it.
It was treated by the paramedics by stabbing his chest before being transferred to a local hospital under the police guard in a serious but stable condition.
The younger man was treated by the paramedics, but he died later in the hospital.
He was charged with killing 55 years of killing and refusing to sponsor to appear before the local Newcastle Court on Monday.
On Sunday, the police defended the use of non -deadly weapons, including Taser and Beanbag tours, in an attempt to keep the man away from the surface.
Investigators said that the use of force was necessary to prevent a man from hurting himself and others.
